Masters of infectious drumbeats, rhythms, and melodies, the 10-strong outfit excites audiences with their brash brand of world music, combining strong percussive grooves with beautiful melodies, panoramic soundscapes and world ambience.

The Diplomats of Drum arsenal is a mixture of ethnic, improvised and contemporary instruments. It’s a hodgepodge of all shapes and sizes from diverse cultures; the Australian Didgeridoo, African Djembes and Talking Drum, Brazilian Repenique and Surdos, Malay Gendang and Rebana, the Indian Dhol, Sitar and Tabla, the Scottish Bagpipe, Slide and Acoustic Guitars and a whole lot more.

Besides lighting up stages during concerts and music festivals, the band is suitably available for corporate engagements around the globe, team-building sessions and educational workshops.

The Diplomats of Drum are dedicated towards the progression and propagation of music and art. As such, the band is supportive towards organizing percussive and music education, both through organizing workshops and going into schools. We focus on, firstly, the exposure of drumming and percussion culture to students and avid learners, and secondly, in imparting skills to all.

We are very supportive of music education in schools and are able to cater to the specific needs of institutions to fit our programmes into school assemblies, camps and one-time workshops as well as extended co-curricular or extra-curricular lesson plans throughout the school terms or semesters.
